I love medium format. Film is my absolute favorite way to shoot. Photos were all made from a single roll of Ektar 100 shot with a Mamiya RB67 SD Pro. I went on a short walk at Manassas National Battlefield Park this weekend with Marisa and Geordi. The place was absolutely littered with photographers! We timed the trip nicely with the sun – there’s nothing better than natural light, especially during Autumn. CureSearch is a national non-profit organization supporting childhood cancer research, raising money to help fund the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), a network of 200+ hospitals, universities, and cancer centers working together to reach a 100% cure rate for childhood cancer. Today was the final flight of Space Shuttle Discovery. Piggybacked (well… technically “mated” with o__o) on a modified Boeing 747, Discovery left Kennedy Space Center at daybreak and made a journey around D.C. before finally landing at Washington-Dulles International Airport. Discovery‘s final destination will be in the most excellent Smithsonian Udvar-Hazy Center where it will replace the Space Shuttle Enterprise (which had actually never been in space… long story).
