Shenandoah/DC Weekend

Spent the weekend a bit under the weather but managed to spend a ton of time outside (it was our 2 year anniversary, after all!).

Saturday we went to two estate sales – the first was at a home owned by a former geisha and the second was the home of the former deputy director of the IRS. I was able to snag three original paintings for $10 and Marisa found a really nice kimono for $25.  Went and got some banh mi in Falls Church then went for a drive and hike up Skyline Drive, where I took this one photo.

Keyser Run Fire Road, Shenandoah, Virginia.

Sunday we set off and got some grub at the Italian Store in Arlington and went through the Jefferson Memorial, Lyndon B. Johnson Memorial Grove by the Pentagon, and Arlington Cemetary. A ton of walking and a few nice photos.

Sunset Red Monolith, Lydon B. Johnson Memorial Grove.

Row of headstones, Arlington Cemetery.

View of DC from the Kennedy Gravesite, Arlington Cemetery.

Jefferson Memorial, Washington D.C.

Until next time….
